We are seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to support federal construction projects across the U.S., primarily with USACE and NAVFAC contracts. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can step into active projects, maintain momentum, and ensure full compliance with federal standards while managing field operations from start to finish.
You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality projects on schedule, while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality control, and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities for federal projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and project stakeholders to ensure efficient execution
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and daily reporting
- Ensure compliance with USACE/NAVFAC standards and project specifications
- Enforce EM 385-1-1 safety regulations and site safety protocols
- Collaborate with Quality Control and Project Management teams to maintain compliance and performance
- Conduct site inspections, manage RFIs, and support project closeout processes
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for project execution
What Weβre Looking For
- Minimum 10+ years of experience on federal construction projects valued at $20M or more
- Proven experience working on USACE and/or NAVFAC projects
- Active CQM-C Certification (Construction Quality Management for Contractors)
- Strong knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage field operations on complex, multi-phase projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to mobilize quickly and adapt to different project sites nationwide
- Willingness to travel extensively across the U.S.
